To some people, the sky is something over your head. You look up to see it.
Back East the sky is always broken up into parts by buildings,
clotheslines, telephones and such.
Even in cities by the sea, skies get broken up.
Out West, the skies can be everywhere.
Microsoft skies
Technicolor skies
Black and white skies
Hallelujah skies
And rainbow skies
The sky here makes ordinary things look dramatic
Ordinary buildings
Ordinary days
Promise yourself you’ll come to Big Sky country at least once.
Promise yourself you’ll walk in the sky.
